Meet the Team
Year 6 Team
Mr Ashton
Hi, my name is Mr Ashton and I am the Year 6 teacher and Upper Key Stage 2 Leader.
I love to read and my favourite childhood book has to be The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. As a child, I read this book multiple times. I used to play in my local woods with my friends and I loved the idea that a magical faraway tree could exist on your doorstep and transport you to a magical land! What a fantastic and imaginative story - highly recommended.
Mr Chambers
I'm Mr Chambers and I'm a TA mainly working in year 5 and 6. My big interests are PE and Maths. I enjoy these because I like to be outside in the fresh air doing things I enjoy, like football and basketball. My favourite book at school was the Captain Underpants books because there was always something going on and it would let your imagination run free.
Miss Sprukte
My name is Miss Sprukte, but children and staff call me Miss S. I am the teaching assistant in Year 5 this year. My favourite subject in school is P.E because it benefits us in so many ways - keeps our bodies and minds healthy! My favourite book is The Runaway Pea by Kjartan Poskitt. At home, I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible by going on long walks/hikes and watching my children - Mason and Esmee partake in their sporting events!
Mrs Brown
My name is Mrs Brown and I am the teaching assistant in year 6 , I also spend time in other years supporting children with their emotional wellbeing. My favourite subject is art; I love drawing and painting and exploring the different techniques artists use. My favourite book is 'the book thief' by Markus Zusak. When I'm at home I love to spend time with my children. Most weekends are taken over by football which is something we love. I also enjoy going on walks with my 2 springer spaniels Benny and Ruby.
